If you are feeling the pace of the world is getting faster and increasing levels of stress you may be looking for ways to feel more centred, grounded and clear and to feel that you’re flowing through life with more inner peace. When we become caught up in the rush of life then we all need some time to be kind to ourselves and to reconnect with our inner peace and stillness. The yoga postures (asanas) which have so many benefits are just one part of our yoga practice, yoga is not about if you can balance on your hands or head, how far you can bend or how flexible you are, there’s no rush, no pressure or strain, yoga is your journey of joy, contentment, deep peace and connection.

The classes are suitable for complete beginners to people that have been practicing yoga for very many years. Everyone practices yoga together, simply practicing at their own pace, we practice a series of postures (asanas) that can be modified for everyone. We practice standing postures and floor postures to increase strength and flexibility. We also practice meditation at the beginning and end of our yoga practice to calm the mind and to connect with your inner peace.

We follow the flow of the breath during our yoga practice, this brings relaxation, concentration, strength and balance. Over time, with regular practice yogic breathing ujjayi pranayama (breath control) and different kinds of pranayama can be learnt which develops focus, stamina, flexibility, balance, release of tension and calming of the mind.

The more you practice yoga the more you will see and feel the benefits filtering through into your life, practice 2-3 times a week ideally, or if you can’t come to a class as often as you like then do 15 minutes yoga practice a day at home as often as you can. Little and often is best, making your Yoga practice part of your life. In time, over the many years of yoga practice you can begin to continually practice yoga throughout your everyday life and not just on the yoga mat through bringing presence into each moment, self-realization and connection to flow through life with a peace.
